Increase your internet speed by at least 20%! --------------------------------------------- By default, Microsoft's Internet explorer can open only 2 simultaneous connections to a single server (standards definition). This makes downloading of several files at the same time not possible from the same server (up to 2), and also slows down web browsing (for example, you can download 10 images from a page using 10 sockets instead of using only two and waiting for download of each pair). This can be changed and increase the internet performance. To do that you just need a small registry change: In the windows registry, go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings Add the following values: Add Values: "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server" = Dword:0000000a "MaxConnectionsPerServer" = Dword:0000000a The difference between the values: MaxConnectionsPerServer is for HTTP 1.1 Servers (most), and is limited to 2 by default. MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server is for HTTP 1.0 Server, and limited to 4 by default. Enjoy! Paz Itzhaki-Weinberger, 2005
